🌍 Immediate access to a growing international community.
By the end of the program year, you'll have a thoroughly prepared, hands-on learning environment built around the children you serve.
Have you seen a child completely lost in something they love?
Drawing, building, crafting, exploring...losing track of time?
That's flow state: a child's self-chosen, playful, and lasting way of learning, often overlooked in favor of adult-directed instruction.
The NLC Teacher Training gives you the framework, practical tools, and confidence to cultivate flow-based learning in your classroom, homeschool, or learning community.
Rooted in Montessori and inspired by the pioneering work of Rebeca and Mauricio Wild —whose approach inspired over a thousand schools across Europe and the world— the NLC Model weaves together practices from Montessori, Reggio-Emilia, Waldorf, Froebel and more into one flexible framework. At its core: the genuine needs of children and adults.
For learning communities; from a few homeschooling families to microschools and learning centers of up to 140 children. For ages 3–6, 6–12, and 12–18.
In this training, you will learn to:
Create hands-on learning environments where children of different ages, abilities, interests, and learning styles can learn in their natural flow state.
Facilitate learning through the environment, from peers, adults, and real-world experiences.
Offer non-invasive lessons and projects that spark curiosity, deepen engagement, and support each child's natural development.
Set boundaries that protect freedom and community while fostering responsibility, cooperation, and mutual respect.
Accompany children on their unique learning journey without burning out, instead growing, thriving, creating, and learning together with them.
A small glimpse of a much larger world. The upcoming book features over 100 photos from flow-based, Rebeca Wild-inspired schools across Europe and beyond.
Each of us has unique gifts to offer children. The NLC model helps you discover how your personality, preferences, strength, and way of being can become part of a living learning environment.
Whether you love leading circles, working one-on-one, singing, storytelling, baking, crafting learning materials, woodworking, movement, or bringing people together for big projects, the NLC Teacher Training helps you deepen your unique way of teaching and bring it to life with the children and communities you serve.
The live sessions are where the model becomes your own. We'll explore your questions, your students, your real-life challenges together. Between sessions, PDF guides help you apply what you're learning directly in your environment.
Create your school environment as you go: Alongside every session, you'll receive PDF guides to create hands-on, flow-based learning environments step by step; including a hands-on math studio, language lab, pretend play areas, kitchen, Reggio-inspired art studio, makerspace, movement, and sensorial spaces.
Our credo: Support the adult. Change the environment, not the child.
At the heart of the training is one guiding question:
In an environment where children have more freedom, what is the adult's role and how can we thrive together with the students?
"Carmen is bringing Montessori education to the next level. She helps teachers see and support each child as the magical being they are."
Lynn Twist, Mother, Montessori Teacher, Founder / The Pachamama Alliance
Vicki Abrams, Mother, Director of the Childbirth & Yoga Programs at the Chopra Center
"Over the 12-month NLC training, I gained the courage to follow my family's dreams for education. I moved out of a disempowered "what's available" attitude into a "whats our dream learning day look like?" I participated in the creation of our homeschool co-op, and we have spent the last year weaving together very satisfying and rich learning days for myself and my daughter, and other families in our town. "
June McGrory, West Marin Free School
“Carmen Gamper is hands-down the most inspiring, visionary teacher-trainer, I have ever had the honor of learning from. As a Montessori teacher, I thought that I had a firm grasp of what holistic, child-centered education looked like. But Carmen has blown my mind and heart wide open and I now have a much deeper understanding of how to truly serve children. I am so grateful for this transformation!”
Cristan Norman, Mother, Montessori teacher

Homeschooling parents who are their child's primary learning companion who need more than curriculum, and want to understand how children actually learn and how they can companion them.

You believe in giving children freedom to learn; but aren't sure how that could safely work.

Founder/ Learning Companion / Teacher Guide
Hi, I'm Carmen, I created this training to offer accessible, practical support for inspired educators who feel in their hearts that children learn best when they are truly seen and supported as individuals. I'm your guide; and honored to walk with you a stretch of the path.
I fell in love with education in my twenties, working at a summer camp run by SOS Children's Villages, set up Montessori-style. For the first time I watched children learn with genuine eagerness, showing me things with glee, fully present, having fun, and connecting with me. It was revelatory.
I'd tried public high school teaching before that. It broke my heart, and this healed it.
I became a total geek. Read everything, visited schools and was lucky to be mentored by Rebeca and Mauricio Wild and other experienced educators in the field.
The research on flow state confirmed that this is not just a feel-good way to learn, but the most sustainable, empowering, healing way to learn. For children and adults alike.
I wrote several books on flow state in children and adults; and I wrote in flow state, so I could experience the concept every day in my bones and feel its nuances. I keep experimenting with my own capacity to be fully present.
Getting to share this work with you and growing together is the greatest gift. I am so glad you are here.
